Glory at Sea!

The movie wanted to show us as far as people can go to get their happiness, even if it means dying. Understanding the end of this movie is the important thing because you can recognize what happend. However, the meaning can change depending on the eye of the beholder.

The aspects which open to interpretation are What happend with The people who were looking for their family? Did they die? Did they get their happiness? What was the role played by the priest in the movie? What was the role of religion in the movie? In what way did the director want to assault the viewer"s emotional senses?

The ending was happy because they found their family and stayed with them. At the end they looked so happy. Even thought they died, they got the happiness in their own way. It was more than enough...

  1. Jackie,

I am drawn to your comment that "it was more than enough." I think I agree--but, I am not totally sure what you mean. What appeals to me is this great sense of humbleness or humility, if I am understanding you correctly.
