Being Obedience is a difficult decision for who have to decide between their happiness or other’s happiness. Some people have to follow rules because in agreement with the culture where they grew up, “they have to”, but what about your own decisions, what you want for your Life, what you want to get in Life. These questions sometimes are forgotten by people who prefer living the life that other ones want for them. However, there are people who say “no”, I prefer living in accordance what I want to. As a consequence, the conflict begins and this is the moment where you have to decide, if you want be happier others or be happier with yourself. Many cultures in the world have a lot of restrictions in Life, and People have to be obedient to them. For sure much of them they don’t do it, but is it really bad for their Life? Or is it really bad according those rules? We have to be aware that we just have one opportunity of Living and it is our time of living following our wishes, goals, desires, emotions, and all kinds of feelings which make us happier. It is good to be obedient as long as those decisions that you have to make, be consistent the way what you want to live!

Sometimes to be happy consiste follow other idea, or not. How knows? what happen if you follow orders to get your own purpose??? maybe you can follow just for your own ideas, and could be immoral, but you are reach you happiness...
ReplyDeleteJackie,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post--your discussion of balance seems very appropriate. What do you think is a good way to tell if your desires are truly yours or are those that have been presented to you as expectations from within your society? In other words, when we are feeling the pressure of others' expectations, how do we identify which desires are truly our own?
I strongly agree that background and culture can influence people's view about obedience. For example, soilders have to obey orders with no doubt.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jackie about her comparison of obedience and happiness. I know about some societies that following their religion, they left many rights. Even human rights. But it's thinking that "the life here makes you win the life when you were death". But that's just one reason.
ReplyDeleteI think I would never do something that may reduce my happiness. what I mean is that I would balance my choices and if what I'm doing makes me feel bad I would stop it.
ReplyDeletegreat discussion!
ReplyDeleteu are right. Everyone just have one chance to live. So we should live our own life though it will be difficult.
